WHAT'S IN A NAME
Wayah (pronounced wa-ya) is the name of a 5,000’+ mountain in the southern Smokies. The name can be traced to the Cherokee word for wolf. It is one of the favorite destinations of the founder of Wayah Engineering. With the summit devoid of trees providing a panoramic view, a visit to the top turns a simple nature outing into an enlightening experience.
